For the second straight year we were invited to provide the official photography for the Midwest Classic, held at the Nicklaus Golf Club at Lions Gate. Over six days we covered a celebrity outing (featuring local sports heroes George Brett, Kevin Lockett, Eddie Kennison and others), three ProAm tournaments, the Pairings Party and four rounds of the tournament itself.
Sixty-eight players made the cut, enabling them to play on Saturday and Sunday. This 2012 event was won by Shawn Stefani, shooting 17 under par for the tournament and taking home $99.000 for his efforts. The winnings raised his earnings to 12th on the money list. The top 25 money earners will earn 2013 PGA Tour cards.
